Welcome

On behalf of the Ottawa Software Cluster welcome to the Ottawa High School Technology Program.  This program was created to address the declining enrollment in post-secondary technology courses.  If Ottawa is to maintain its position as a technology leader, it is critical that we ensure that we have a sustainable talent pipeline.  After executing a number of initiatives with a local high school it became clear that the programs with the greatest impact on the students were the ones that allowed them to explore leading edge technology under the mentorship of industry experts.  With this concept in mind this pilot project was born. 

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our partners on this project, IBM, OCE, OCRI, Nortel, Dell, Cisco, Macadamian Software, Microsoft, The Ottawa Software Cluster, Algonquin College, Carleton University, University of Ottawa, Ottawa Carleton District School Board (OCDSB), Ottawa Catholic School Board (OCSB), Shad Valley summer students and Partnering to Achieve Student Success (PASS).
